So if you haven't been connected to the internet in awhile, you might have missed that Netflix has been courting the option of bringing back a Legend of Zelda TV series back to the general public. If you are young, like i'm sure some of my readers might be, Zelda had a TV show back in 1989 that was aired once a week in place of the Super Mario Bros. cartoon that played for the rest of the week. In the TV show, they loosely followed the stories of the first two video games for the original NES, with some combinations of characters between the two games. Adult versions of these characters were then added later on to the Captain N TV show that aired from 1989-1991 on Saturday Mornings.
Nothing has really been posted about this upcoming Live Action Series by Netflix, because it seems since working in tandem with Nintendo on their intellectual property, Nintendo likes to keep everyone in the dark. Hopefully this show does come to fruition, so all the Nintendo Geeks in the world can finally feel connected with some of the general public.
This all leads into my actual post. Will this TV show have the success it might deserve like other Comic/Video Game TV shows, or will it follow in the style of Video Game to movie mockeries that we have had to deal with in the past? Everyone remembers the Super Mario Bros. Movie right?
If this succeeds, what are some other Video Game to TV shows would you like to see?
I'll post my ideas and what others post in response next post.
A blog about a geek and his geek family. The missadventures, fun and general love of all things geek.

So I haven't been able to update this blog since Christmas, so I wan to wish everyone a Happy New Year for 2015. Hope everyone has set up their own New Year's Resolutions if you plan on following them.
Well this post I decided to write because I had come across an article written on the Fashionably Geek blog and I thought I could also post it on my blog. Well the idea is that during the New Years, there tends to be a lot of newly engaged couples around the world. Most of my friends are already engaged or married, but I found this post aimed precisely towards Star Wars geeks, which I happen to be one of.

Fashionably Geek posted a picture of this wonderful engagement that follows a pattern around the bottom of the ring of a lightsaber. As you can see from the second picture, the ring from the side is where it looks like a lightsaber the most, topped with whatever diamond or "bling" on top. The ring in the photo is crafted with emeralds going up the sides to represent the blade, but I'm sure they can be replaced with any type of jewel you would like to place, perhaps the jewel of the significant other's birthstone.

Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas to everyone!!
I know this is coming after Christmas but we've been a little busy in our household. From heading out to Pittsburgh one weekend to celebrate with one side of the family, to heading to Allentown to celebrate a partial Christmas early with the other side of the family.
Then with my job being at the hospital, which is always open even during the holidays, I worked both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Then I had previously signed up for overtime for Friday and Saturday, which made me be away from my family right after the holidays for 12 hours a day.
Well let's get on with what my family got during the Holidays. The children got the Blu-Ray copy of "How to Train a Dragon 2" to be splits amongst the boys. They also got another set for their V-Tech Go Go vehicles set, this time including a garage, which has become William's favorite toy out there, including his favorite word to say to us. Michael received almost anything Olaf, his favorite character from the hit movie "Frozen". Bridget got more stuff for her American Girl doll, which she has amassed a collection over the years, as well as some Barbies and Barbie's clothing. She also received the Barbie set for Frozen, including an Anna and Elsa, and a storage carrying case for the dolls and her clothes.
My wife and I got each other some DVDs and books to add to our ever increasing collection. I added "Avengers", "Star Trek", "X-Men: Days of Future Past", and finally "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". My wife added the Blu-ray copy of "The Wizard of Oz", and "Man of Steel".
I have been trying to add only Blu-Rays to our collection just so we can stay more with the times, since DVDs might eventually become obsolete, and since you always get a copy on DVD when you buy the Blu-Ray in the stores.
In the next post, I will try to post some reviews of the items that we all received during the holidays, since I will be able to be at home more, since we are limiting some of the overtime that I take on before the next semester in the school year.

Well it's been awhile since I've posted to this blog. Well it is now the end of the fall semester for my wife, so she has become a studying monster. She is trying to get her way into the MBA program at her college while she is still completing her bachelor's degree. This would be amazing if she can continue with her grades the way she has been so she can start on her Master's degree. Unfortunately, because it being finals time, there is no time for cosplaying and general geekery. In the upcoming weeks I will post some of the pictures from previous conventions that we have been to in the past 8 years of marriage, including pictures of our kids cosplaying at the ripe old age of less than 1 years old. Our daughter has actually been going to conventions and cosplaying for her entire life and she was born in 2007, 10 months after we got married.
I will also be starting to sell homemade foam tombstones, that we will be getting ready for next Halloween. Even though tombstones are generally a Halloween thing, we will be trying to take a geek turn to some of them, that way we could use them all year round. I will be posting my process of the tombstones on this blog as I go through my first one. We will also be looking at going to more of next year's conventions, so look forward to more pictures and cosplays.
Please tell us what you think of any of the ideas that we have posted onto this blog.

I know this is late but I just wanted to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone that is following our blog. I would like to thank everyone that is reading it because this is my first one and I just want to make sure I am doing a semi-decent one to learn from. In the upcoming weeks leading into the New Year, we are deciding to trend to the geek subject of Cosplay. We have cosplayed for years and have so many costumes just sitting around the house, we have decided to do something with them. My wife came up with the idea of the title of Cosplay wife, in which she will be doing common things around the house while dressed in some of her cosplays. Also if you like some of the costumes that she is wearing, she is a seamstress and does costume design on the side. Please if you like any of our ideas, let us know so we may keep doing some while we are updating our blog.
Also, because it was released today, here is the well done Teaser Trailer for the upcoming Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.
